Several months after CECT first introduced its initial P168, (otherwise known as the iPhone clone), it seems safe to say that most consumers have not only accepted but embraced these little imports.

Many feel (myself included) that these models are high quality, innovative little gadgets that have taken the best features of the iPhone and added on improvements that just might top the original.

This is a very sleek phone that looks a lot like the original, but unlike most clones it does have a small keyboard scroll bar at the bottom of the phone. It also includes a stylus. There is no writing or logo on the face. I prefer this streamlined look.

Price wise, this phone is a swift seller, starting at about $100. Sometimes you can find it even cheaper which seems pretty attractive considering all of the innovative features you are getting.

The New Android Motorola Milestone - Smart and Better Mobile Phone

Very soon the new Motorola milestone is going to hit the market across the globe. It has already created waves across the United States. The Garmin Nuvi 255W is the best bang for the buck GPS unit on the market today. The Nuvi 255W has the same slim design and 4.3" widescreen as the rest of the Nuvi 200 series but it also has some features that really set it apart from the rest of the series. There are so many choices in the GPS market today it can be over whelming when trying to choose whats best for you.

The Garmin Nuvi 255W uses predictive technology to provide a faster satellite lock than any other unit in this price range or even for a much higher price. This predictive technology works by remembering the position of the satellites when the device is turned off. The next time you power on the device it calculates the position of the satellites based on the saved position from the last time it was locked on. Another very helpful feature of the Garmin Nuvi 255W is the Text-to-Speech feature which gives you directions using real street names. This feature will tell you "Turn left on main street in 200ft" instead of the generic "Turn left in 200ft" that you get from most other GPS units. My favorite feature of the Garmin Nuvi 255W is the 4.3" widescreen which displays 70% more of the road around you. This is the only device any where near this price range to offer a screen of this size and resolution. The unit also uses a 333 Mhz processor to insure that you get the fastest map drawing and ultra smooth vehicle motion icons.

The heart of any Garmin device is the map data and this one is no different. The Garmin Nuvi 255W comes preloaded with maps for all of North America, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. These maps include over 6.5 million searchable points of interest. So even if you don't know the address of your destination you can more than likely find it using the POI search feature. You can also program in custom POIs such as school zones and the Garmin will alert you to these zones when they are on your route. The wonderful maps can be viewed in the standard 2D or you can turn on an awesome new 3D shaded view which uses actual elevation data to provide a true 3D map of whats around you.

The last feature which I find really useful is the "Where am I?" button. This feature is standard on all Garmin Nuvi models and has come in very handy for me in many situations. With just a tap of the "Where am I?" button the Nuvi 255W will find the nearest hospitals, police stations, fuel stations, and will also show your exact latitude and longitude coordinates.

The Garmin Nuvi 255W is by far the best personal GPS unit in this price range or almost any other price range. The features found on this unit are the same as units that cost two to three times more than the Nuvi 255W. I have been using a Nuvi 255W for almost a year now and I am just as satisfied with it today as I was the day I bought it.

Magellan RoadMate 3055 4.7-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Traffic Review

I purchased this GPS a few months ago from Amazon after spending quite a bit of time looking at units from Magellan, Tom Tom, Garmin and Motorola. I like gadgets, but am generally not an "early adapter." So I was a little hesitant to buy this unit, since it is a new model and I could find no reviews online. But I liked the features and the price, so I took the risk and bought it.

I am quite happy with the unit. The screen is big and bright and it is quite easy to use. My wife, who is not the most tech-savy, was able to operate it with only minimal pointers from me. Her mother who used it while visiting also found it very easy to use. It acquires satellite signal quite rapidly and it's directions generally make good sense (although it occasionally picks routs I would not choose, but still got us where we were needing to go). It tells us which lane to get into in plenty of time.

The main feature that influenced me to purchase it was the free traffic info. Other units charged a fee, or had pop-up advertisements for their traffic service, but it is included with this Magellan for free. The other thing I like is that it comes pre-loaded with about a zillion restaurants, hotels, gas stations and other points of interest. This comes in very handy when traveling - it has several times helped us find places to eat when we were in new places.

I've only had 2 problems. First, you must cancel your current trip before you put in a new destination. I discovered this after putting in a new location after getting to my first, but it kept telling me to make a u-turn and go back. If you don't cancel the first trip it won't accept the second location. The other problem I have with it is if I take an alternate route to the one it chooses, it has a very hard time accepting the new route. It will keep trying to make me turn to pick up it's preferred route for quite awhile. Eventually, it does seem to give up and recalculates the new route.

So, I would not hesitate to recommend this GPS.
